The tooth fairy is a fantasy figure. The cute little fairy continues to enthrall kids and parents. A fairy which rewards the children for visit to the dentist and dental extraction . Kids are generally afraid of dental treatment. The lure of receiving a reward from the tooth fairy encourages them to agree for a dental check up. The primary teeth are important.They start appearing at around six months and are all in place by the time the child is three years old.These milk teeth start shedding around six years and are replaced with permanent teeth by age twelve.During this brief period the milk teeth maintain the space for the oncoming permanent teeth and help in chewing and speech. The folklore states that when children lose one of their baby teeth, they should place it underneath their pillow or on their bedside table and the Tooth Fairy will visit while they sleep, replacing the lost tooth with a small payment.
