Sometimes the importance of commencement is realized upon conclusion.
Life is nothing but a lot of journeys put together and amongst them one of the most memorable is the tale of graduation. How is it possible that the story of the lengthiest degree does not have any tale to offer??
The First Professional year in MBBS is the age of discovery of self and that of the world. Students become aware of the subjects , friends , “special friends” , seniors, nepotism ( ahemm ,sorry) etc. Little souls that have been under the burden of NEET/AIPMT find so much freedom in their colleges that it literally “gives them wings “! The stage of Freshers is no less than the “Met Gala” for 1st year students…College fests feel like a free pass to heaven (whereas college fests of other medical colleges are like a “paid pass”). Life is on such a high note that even the dogs and dampness of hostel are romanticized. Library besides being a place to study, becomes more of a place to show the world that we study and even more to see our ” desired” one’s studying. And it’s all fun and games until exams come banging on our doors with a reality check!
