We are living in the age of technology. Technological barriers are being broken almost every passing day, especially in the last two decades. These developments have far-reaching impacts across society, with their effects also permeating into medicine. The advent of a hybrid between technology, medicine, and hyper-capitalism has given rise to the phenomenon of commercialization of ‘healthy living. Indeed, the use of technology for unsupervised monitoring of body physiology can prove to be harmful.
