Q1 What inspired me to be a doctor
A: As cliched as it might sound, it was the inspiration from my parents which shaped my career’s trajectory. For as long as I can remember I have cherished hopping into my father’s clinic and trying to climb up his chair which at the time was too high up and quite literally out of reach, shifting the time to about over a year ago when I finally passed my final year exams and was privileged enough to be invited by dad to finally sit on the ever-elusive chair (if only for a minute but a minute that I had earned). There is a certain poetry in the circle of life and I hope I can carry it forward.
Q2 What do you want to do after MBBS
A: Unfortunately (or fortunately) I am not quite adept at answering this question right now, all I know is that I would like to further my medical education in the best way possible so I can do justice to my patients. I also know that I would like to advocate for the health of my patients as well as my fellow colleagues. But actions speak louder than words so I hope I can lead with kindness and live up to my words.
Q3 Your hobbies
A: My hobbies encompass anything related to the literary arts. Being bought up by a mother who stressed on the importance of books and introduced me to life-altering literature early on, I find a certain catharsis in writing that cannot be replicated in anything else. I also find that it is a much-needed escape from less-than-ideal instances of mortality and morbidity that I often encounter as a part of my career.
