“Shoot all the bluejays you want, if you can hit ’em, but remember it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird.”

I have never known comfort like the one relished in the comforting embrace of books; amidst the familiar fragrance of the library, in the crisp touch whilst turning a page as my eyes follow the black lettering tattoed onto the familiar faded white pages. And yet one book that has shaped much of who I am today and in turn shall shape much of this essay is Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird “
