Till now joining a medical college, in most cases, involves compulsory living in hostels. While this is an option that gets bestowed upon us, it does open up a new world of learning for most of us. For those who have not lived in hostel during their school, hostel life is whole new experience all together. Like everything else this too, has its pros and cons. For the greater majority it is, however, a world of opportunities, in every sense of the word (I know you understand what it means).
On my part, what I appreciate most about hostel living is the responsibility and independence it brings. No longer is anyone else responsible for my studies, timing, food, health, safety. It is essentially growing up in true sense. Good or bad, better or worse, whatever it is, it is for us to deal with and no one else.
