Buzz symbolizes activeness and is an indication of life and ‘being alive’ Desire is imperative to succeed and achieve.

The doctors and nurses are the torch bearers and preservers of humanity. They have ethics, etiquettes, and moral responsibilities. They are also human and talented in many aspects. Many a times, there is no outlet for expression of hidden talent. With ‘Buzz desire’ we intend to create that outlet. The magazine intends to provide a charade of infotainment and create a connect with between the teachers and the students. The power of expression will create ideas and improve understanding of our day to day challenges. A touch of nostalgia will improve the bonding and rekindle the emotion.

The logo for buzz desire has two (two for joy) circles which represent the buzz or connection and the flames represent the desire to do well.

Whatever does not grow diminishes and evolution is not a theory or idea but a fundamental reality. So, the magazine is expected to increase its readership base and will also evolve to suit its audience. The initial few issues will have more content from basic sciences and then we intend to shift gears. There are expenses involved in bringing out a magazine and so after the inaugral issue, we intend to provide the magazine at a very nominal subscription to cover our expenses. We hope you like the inaugural issue and if you do, kindly support the magazine so that we can continue with our efforts.

We thank the authors who spared time for the venture and showed faith. We also thank the faculty and students who always encourage and revitalize. If ‘Content is King’ then ‘Content presentation is the Kings soul’and I thank my partner Ravindra Kumar Bodetti who has converted my word file into a magazine. He first initiated the idea of a magazine about three years ago when I started writing ‘The portrait of an Anatomist’. His constant and consistent support has made ‘Buzz Desire ‘possible.

The cover story focuses on the evolutionary changes in vocal tract and brain which bestowed upon humans the remarkable gift of conversation. The Buzz Dezire survey indicates that we are not very aware of our symbols and there is need of an initial session in college regarding these symbols. This issue has three very pertinent and interesting contributions from eminent faculty on white coat, early clinical exposure and positive aspects of the generation ‘z’ students .The contributions from students are interesting and they explain their perspective which we must learn to appreciate.

This journey has just begun. We dedicate the magazine to your spirit, enthusiasm   camaraderie and collaboration.

We hope the magazine creates ‘the buzz we desire’.
