Medical classroom-A hub of unlimited activity

The classroom in a medical college is a sacred space.

 That it is so, dawns on the medical student off and on amidst the flurry of lectures, demonstrations, tutorials, practical classes, assignments, tests, and so on that keep one busy. It seems to be a continuation of the academics at school – only more intense, serious, and fast-paced. Imagine, what happened in the first class of Anatomy amounts to 35 pages in the dissection manual, 20 in the text prescribed (Gray’s if you want the best and an assorted lot for exams, memory devices, etc., apart from those you were told about by seniors for Osteology, Functional Anatomy, Surgical anatomy, Radiological anatomy, and so on to score more marks, apart from Histology, Embryology and such that are par for the course); and, this is just Anat. – I have not told you about Physiology and  Biochemistry that try their best to compete with Anatomy in a bid to keep up the pressure.
